Receiver: The receiver is marked “Fabrica de Armas / Oviedo / 1928” at the top front of the receiver. The date mark “1928” is interrupted by one of the scope mount holes that was drilled through the middle of the number. There is no serial number present.
The receiver has been modified. The stripper clip feed slot and rear hump have been machined off, lengthening the opening.
Trigger: An aftermarket trigger with safety has been installed. The trigger assembly has no markings. Trigger break is set at approximately 2 lbs, 6 oz (5 pull average).
Bolt: The bolt body and extractor are polished steel and the bolt sleeve is blued. The bolt handle has been customized/modified to provide clearance for use of a scope. The standard bolt safety has been replaced with custom made plug.
Barrel: The barrel is 22” long and chambered for .308 WIN. There are only three visible markings on the barrel, two partial single numbers in different locations (appear to be a 6 and a 3), and an arrowhead and the bottom rear of the barrel.
Stock: The stock is customized as well. Inletting has been glass bedded, fit is solid but bedding finish does exhibit gabs in non-contact areas. Modification to fit the aftermarket trigger with safety appears to have been done later. Blemishes in the wood were filled with a silver epoxy. Bird’s eye wood was used for the front end of the stock. A Herter’s Inc Royal Deluxe recoil pad is installed.
Rifle come with a mounted Bushnell Scope Chief 4x scope as seen in photos.
